This Yirgacheffe coffee showcases vibrant peach sweetness, a soft cookie dough richness, and fragrant orange blossom florals, creating a clean, nuanced, and elegant cup.
The naturally processed Grade 1 lot comes from the Konga Amederaro station in Konga village, Yirgacheffe. Konga Amederaro has built a strong reputation for quality, placing 7th in the first Ethiopia Cup of Excellence and reaching the final table of the Taste of Harvest competition in 2018 and 2019.
Konga is a village in the Yirgacheffe district of Ethiopia’s SNNP region, sitting at 2,000 masl and supported by the Toracho river. The local station works with 1,890 farmers and the area is famous for producing some of the world’s most prized microlots. Its high altitude, fertile soil, steady rainfall, and strong farming traditions all contribute to the exceptional quality of Yirgacheffe coffees.
The region’s wild heirloom varietals give the coffee its distinct character. When naturally processed and sun-dried, they deliver juicy stone-fruit flavors, with floral, chocolate notes and a creamy body.
