A vibrant, flavourful coffee with notes of red cherries, delicate hints of lavender and pomegranate, offering a perfect balance of bright acidity and a smooth, lingering finish with floral sweetness.
This Grade 1 washed coffee comes from the Banko Gotiti wet mill, located in the Kochere district of Ethiopia’s renowned Yirgacheffe region. Managed by Alemu Bukato, the mill processes cherries sourced from approximately 650 local smallholder farmers.
Shade-grown, fully ripe cherries are delivered to the mill and carefully sorted to select only the best. They are sun-dried on raised African beds for 12 to 15 days, regularly turned for even drying, and covered during peak sun and at night to protect from damage and moisture. Once dried to the ideal level, the coffee is milled, graded, hand-sorted, and packed in GrainPro bags for export via the port of Djibouti.
Gotiti kebele (village) is located in the Kochere district, near Yirgacheffe, in Ethiopia’s Southern Nations, Nationalities & Peoples (SNNP) region.
This area is renowned for producing some of the world’s most sought-after microlot coffees. Its reputation is built on ideal growing conditions—high altitudes (up to 2,200m), rich soil, reliable rainfall, and deep local expertise.
The region’s wild-growing heirloom varietals give Yirgacheffe coffees their distinctive character, with bright citric acidity, sweet chocolate notes, and delicate floral and herbal hints like lavender, jasmine, bergamot, and thyme.
