Perfect as an everyday coffee, it offers a delightful flavour profile with notes of red apple and strawberry, complemented by a juicy, refreshing aftertaste.
This coffee is produced by 1,042 small-scale organic growers from the Planadas subregion of South Tolima, organized into 23 farmer groups. Many of these farmers carry on a proud family tradition of coffee cultivation.
Planadas, at the southern tip of Tolima near Huila and Cauca, sits in the Andes foothills with ideal coffee-growing conditions: high altitudes, cool temperatures, abundant rainfall, and volcanic soils.
Tolima’s coffee farmers are deeply traditional but have faced challenges due to the region’s history of conflict as the FARC’s origin. Many were isolated from resources and markets despite exceptional growing conditions.
This coffee is made from organic cherries, carefully selected, de-pulped, fermented to remove mucilage, then washed and dried in parabolic greenhouses for 10 to 18 days, depending on the weather.
